Your Time

By: Prophetess Asha McDermott

There’s no time to waste time. Time is a luxury. Time is a commodity. It answers to no human form. It is a gift given by the giver. Created by eternity, time is an obedient servant. We cannot wrestle with it or bargain for it. We cannot buy it or dress it up and make it pretty. We can only use it. We cannot get it back once we give it away. The only way we can regain time is if the giver gives us some more of it. We cannot suspend it, but the giver can.

Time is important. If we have it, we have life. If we no longer have it, we’re out of breath. If we’re out of time, we’ve entered eternity space and we wait. We wait and wait and wait and wait until time runs out and He returns.

So don’t waste it. He does not like us to waste it. He wants us to redeem it. To esteem it. To respect it. To steward it well. It’s time to make time our priority. Prioritize your time. Spend it wisely like a wise servant. Spend it on the things the giver has given you to spend it on. Don’t let the enemy or others hijack your time. Don’t let others take advantage of your time. Do not allow yourself to give away too much time; Too much time for idleness, too much time to be complacent, too much time complaining, too much time doubting, too much time being insecure, too much time being angry, too much time being confused. Awaken and pay attention to your time.

You’ve been given a specific amount. Invest it. When it runs out you won't have the ability to spend it. Time is more important than money. It is more important than food. It is more important than getting what you want. Use your time wisely. Talk to the giver about the time He has given you. Pray. Fast. Ask. Seek. Knock. Don’t waste your time doing meaningless things. Be intentional. Be alert. Be sober minded. Be watchful. Be cautious. Be wise. Your time is your currency of living, and the devil will try to distract and attract you to foolishness.

Now is the time to redeem the time for the days are evil. “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 ESV. Your time is your life.
