Be Fully Persuaded

"Do not limit me," says the Lord. "Do not limit me in you!"
In Psalm 18:29, David so wonderfully paints a picture of what it is like to be supernaturally helped and defended by the Lord, "for by you I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall."
God is not a mere God nor is He deaf, mute, or blind. God is Alive and more than willing to help us in time of need.
I would like for us to focus on a familiar story in the book of Genesis. Abraham and Sarah were old, Sarah was past the age to bear a child. They received news that they were about to have a son that following year. This made no sense to them, so Sarah responded by laughing. God then posed this question to Abraham, "is there anything too hard for the Lord," Genesis 18:14. God then continues after asking the question with this, "I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son." God was not looking for a verbal response, He was looking for a faith response.
You prove your faith when you obey what God has spoken by preparing and taking the necessary steps for the manifestation of the promise. Like many of us, Abraham did not always get it right. However, his faith did not waver, nor did he wallow in unbelief and distrust concerning the promise of God. God promised he would have a son and be a father to many nations. Like Abraham, we are to be fully persuaded that God has the power to do what He promised, Romans 4:20-22.
What will your Faith response be to God this year?
